Coonoor Hill station
Coonoor is one of the most picturesque hill stations in the Nilgiris, encircled by tea plantations. This serene hill station is located at an altitude of about 1800m. The beauty of Coonoor hill station lays in its pleasant climate and lush green tea plantation and eucalyptus trees. The major attractions are Sim's park, Dolphin's Nose, Lamb's Rock and Kotagiri, which is well-known for Coffee plantation, Rangaswamy Pillar and Peak; and Elk Falls and is situated about 21kms from Coonoor. Other places to visit in Coonoor are the Pomological Station, the Ralliah Dam and Lady Canning's seat. The perfect time to visit this place is from October to March. Chopta Hill station
Chopta is located on the Gopeshwar-Ukhimath track and approximately 40kms away from Gopeshwar, at an altitude of about 2900m. Chopta Hill station is one of the most charming places in the whole Garhwal region. This serene hill station offers magnificent view of the Himalayan ranges and the neighboring areas. The beautiful place is surrounded by alpine vegetation, rhododendrons and orchids.
