It is located at an altitude of 2286m and the beauty of the place lays in its tranquil environment and alpine forests of Rhododendron, Oak and Deodar. For trekkers who are looking to explore snow-clad Himalayas, Dhanaulti is the starting point. The main attractions of the place are ECO-Park, Surkanda Devi Temple and Himalayan Weavers, who make hand-woven handloom products with natural dyes and wools. This hill station is one of the idyllic places to rejuvenate and relax. Dhanaulti is easily accessible with well connected roads from Delhi and Dehradun.

Coonoor Hill station

Coonoor is one of the most picturesque hill stations in the Nilgiris, encircled by tea plantations. This serene hill station is located at an altitude of about 1800m. The beauty of Coonoor hill station lays in its pleasant climate and lush green tea plantation and eucalyptus trees. The major attractions are Sim's park, Dolphin's Nose, Lamb's Rock and Kotagiri, which is well-known for Coffee plantation, Rangaswamy Pillar and Peak; and Elk Falls and is situated about 21kms from Coonoor. Other places to visit in Coonoor are the Pomological Station, the Ralliah Dam and Lady Canning's seat. The perfect time to visit this place is from October to March. Coonoor is easily accessible with well connected roads from Mettupalayam and Ooty.

Chopta Hill station

Chopta is located on the Gopeshwar-Ukhimath track and approximately 40kms away from Gopeshwar, at an altitude of about 2900m. Chopta Hill station is one of the most charming places in the whole Garhwal region. This serene hill station offers magnificent view of the Himalayan ranges and the neighboring areas. The beautiful place is surrounded by alpine vegetation, rhododendrons and orchids. The major attractions are Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, Gopeshwar, Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Sanctuary, Tungnath Shiva Temple and Ukhimath, which is 31Kms away from Chopta and it's said that the place is the winter seat of lord Kedarnath. The best time to visit Chopta is between the months of April to June.

The tranquil hill station is known as the land of Monpas as the Monpa tribes are the major domination in this region. The place is renowned for its serene environment and natural beauty. The hill station is encircled by Tibet in the northern side, Kameng in the east and Bhutan in the south-west. The place has Buddhist influence in its culture and lifestyle. The place attains its beauty mostly during snowfall in the month of December and January. The place is also renowned for adventurous activities like rock climbing, paragliding, skating and river-rafting.

The main attractions are St. John'S Church in Wilderness, Chamunda Devi Temple, Nurpur Fort, Dall Lake, Kangra Art Museum, amongst other. Except monsoon, all seasons are good to visit this place.
